Children learn best from using their senses; where possible, the nursery environment will reflect your child’s urge to explore the resources we have carefully selected for them. We have designed FountNursery to stimulate the children, without ‘over-stimulating’ them.
For example, we have created art walls and colourama – where children can really express themselves – and magnetic walls for interaction and to encourage free expression. While this is a stimulating environment, we have been careful not to use over-bright colours. We wanted to create a calm, relaxing space with a warm natural palette, mixed with an eclectic vintage feel. Furniture and resources have been sourced to match our ethics on reuse, reclaim and recycle.
It’s clear for all to see how art and education naturally come together at FountNursery.
We have designed the nursery around two base rooms for the children:
Finders: One -Two Years
Children of this age are inquisitive and grow at a rapid rate; they are consistently finding out and exploring. This dedicated base room will allow the children to explore their environment and satisfy their curiosity safely.
We recognise that children of this age need to feel emotionally secure and need to feel a strong sense of belonging.
Investigators: Two to Five Years
This is the stage where children are beginning to know who they are and take control of their own learning. Therefore, this base room will allow them to use critical thinking and investigate the range of stimulating resources that are on offer.
We value our children’s learning, so will support them to be the best that they can be during their time with us.
